There are only two horrible things that come along with a vacation: planning the trip’s specifics and heading back home.  But, while reality must always crash the party and ruin your fun, plotting the course no longer has to be an unbearable task.

With Cruise Finder by iCruise.com/WMPH Vacations, users need only access this one-stop spot to find deals and finalize the plans of their next cruise getaway with iCruise.com’s comprehensive collection of cruise line information.  Simply startup Cruise Finder and you will find information about more cruise lines and ships than you ever knew existed.  The main screen provides immediate access to the hottest deals, quick search tools, your marked favorites, cruise calendars and information, information about iCruise.com and more.

When you tap the ‘Cruise Finder’ button, you will be taken to the ‘Search’ tab, which is marked by the second icon on the bottom toolbar.  Here, users can search for a ship based on criteria such as destination, departure date, departure port, cruise line or cruise ship.

With over 12,000 day-by-day itineraries available, users will find destinations including Alaska, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Hawaii, the South Pacific and many more.  Once you’ve chosen a destination, you can either browse the number of cruises found falling under that category, or use the rubric to narrow down your specifications to see what is available.  When browsing by departure date, users may narrow down their search by specifying the travel period, destination, number of nights and the cruise line.  Users may also complete a similar search when starting their search via departure port.

Cruise Finder also allows users to search through their database featuring information from 20 different cruise lines – including Carnival, Celebrity, Disney, Princess, Royal Caribbean and more – and over 220 ships, complete with stateroom descriptions and photos, deck plans, itineraries, and statistics.  Users may narrow down their cruise line search by browsing alphabetically or by type of cruise liner (Contemporary, Premium, Deluxe, Luxury and Niche/Specialty).  Users may also search the specific ships alphabetically, or by cruise line, size or rating.

Anything you find that seems of interest can be marked as a favorite.  You may also share your findings via email, Facebook and Twitter right within Cruise Finder.  Users may also find their passport requirements listing, port directions (with parking information and maps) and port weather a handy asset.

For those looking for a great deal, the ‘Hot Deals’ tab highlights the best deals available at the moment.  Users can also follow iCruise.com on Facebook and Twitter to stay up-to-date with the latest offerings.  (You can find links to their pages at the bottom of the main screen.)  For more information, or to obtain a quote, use the ‘Request a Quote’ button toward the bottom of the main page or simply use the ‘Call Us’ tab in the bottom right corner to call iCruise.com directly from within the application if using an iPhone.

Also, sign up for their email newsletter via your device and you will receive a voucher worth up to $50 off your next purchase at iCruise.com.  And with so much information at your fingertips, Cruise Finder does all the really hard work for you, starting that mental vacation of yours way ahead of time!

Cruise Finder requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
