iPad Launch Games More Expensive than iPhone Counterparts

With the release of Apple’s iPad less than a week away, there has still been little information available surrounding which apps will be available for the new touchscreen device at launch. While Apple has promised cross-compatibility with existing iPhone/iPod Touch apps, the larger size of the iPad display will create resolution issues for those wanting to use their apps in native full-screen.

A number of developers have announced upated versions of their apps for use with the new iPad. But the resolution isn’t the only thing on the rise – these new “HD” iPad editions will cost up to five times the price of the originals. The massively popular Flight Control for example, which is currently selling for $0.99 on the App Store will cost a hefty $4.99 for the HD iPad version. Read on for the anticipated list of games that will be available for the iPad at launch on April 3rd.

  • Flight Control HD
  • Labyrinth 2 HD
  • Cro-Mag Rally for iPad
  • Enigmo Deluxe
  • Otto Matic for iPad
  • Sparkle HD
  • Boggle
  • Sudoku Real Edition
  • Bugdom 2 for iPad
  • Real Checkers
  • PuzzleManiak for iPad
  • Galaxy Control 2
  • Ammoin HD
