Developed by SmartUtils, the Event Logger app is a good fit for list makers, stat lovers and forgetful people – which I’d say probably encompasses a good chunk of the population. Logging an event is as simple as firing up Event Logger and tapping the plus sign in the top right corner of the screen, naming the event and clicking “new occurrence.” The app starts counting down (or would it be up?) until you log the next occurrence. How many times have you said, “When was the last time I did ….”? Now, you don’t need to ask that question, you can just check Event Logger.
You can log your oil changes, the last time you called Aunt Martha, dates of your Chess tournaments and the last time you had your favorite meal. There is really no end to what you can track – it all comes down to what you want to know. The app provides you with stats that tell you the time between events. You can email these stats to yourself, or others. I can imagine creating an exercise program and comparing stats with your exercise buddy. That would keep you motivated!
It doesn’t just have to be used to keep track of things in your personal life. If you own a business and want to keep track of how often a customer asks, “When are you going to stock ….?” you could use Event Logger. Or, you could note the last time your employee gave you the excuse, “I can’t come in today because ….” Because of the personal nature of the information that you can log with Event Logger – you can add a password to each event to protect your privacy.
Now is the time to get this app and start logging.
Event Logger is compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch and requires iPhone OS 2.2.1 or later.
