Connect to Discover using a computer running on the same wireless network. Just type your iPhone’s IP address in to the address bar of your internet browser, type in the password of your choosing and you’re connected. Afterwards you can upload, manage and view files on your iPhone or transfer them back to your computer.
One of Discover’s most appealing features is that it turns your iPhone or iPod Touch in to a wireless flash drive. Remember when you first tried to transfer files on to your iPhone or iPod Touch and were shocked that you couldn’t? Now you can.
Discover isn’t only limited to storing files. It’s also a great way to view anything from pictures to word documents. Images are viewed at their original resolution, meaning you can zoom in even more than you could with the iPhone’s photo viewer. Discover also supports PDF’s, word documents, slideshows, spreadsheets even certain video formats. No longer will you have to email images and documents to your iPhone.
Another feature of Discover is its integration with Apple’s MobileMe iDisk server. You can access it whenever your iPhone is connected to the internet. You can even email files from your iPhone with MobileMe and Discover. Connecting to other file hosting services on the internet or on local networks is also possible. You can create public and local servers with Discover Server for MAC OS (Windows coming soon) that anyone, or those chosen by you, can access. With Discover you can access all of your files right from your iPhone.
Discover also enables you to share files between iPhones on the same wireless network. Just tap the “Nearby” tab and Discover will search for other iPhones or iPod Touches nearby.
Discover is a must have app for the iPhone. It will change the way you transfer, store, view, access and share files on the go.
Discover requires the iPhone OS 2.0 or later and is compatible with both the iPhone and iPod Touch.
