iShoot Shoots a Goal

Written iPhone App Review

Price: $1.99    Score: 8/10    By Shaun Campbell iShoot

iShoot is a turn-based artillery game for the iPhone from developer Ethan Nicholas. It’s a lot like the PC strategy classic Worms, but with tanks. You shoot, they shoot, you shoot, they shoot…

iShoot features both multiplayer and solo play, with up to 3 real or computer opponents. There are four difficulty levels, photo-realistic backgrounds fully destructible environments, customizable tanks, and 25 different weapons at your disposal.

Each of your weapons must be purchased prior to starting a round. There’s everything from a mortar to a tactical nuke. The more powerful weapons cost more money.

iShoot utilizes touch control for aiming. You touch the screen to adjust your direction and angle of elevation, then press and hold the fire button to launch your chosen weapon. Holding down for longer increases the distance your shot will go.

Bottom Line: iShoot is a great pick-up-and-play game, and surprisingly addictive.

iShoot requires the 2.0 software update & is compatible with both iPhone and iPod Touch.
