Listening to your iTunes library on shuffle can be a great way to spice things up and enjoy a little variety. But no matter how diverse your music collection may be, the array of music found on the radio is just more appealing sometimes. And now, with RadioIn by Synsion Radio Technologies, you can have over 30,000 internet radio stations and thousands of radio shoes right at your fingertips.
Partnered with RadioTime, an online directory that links listeners with music, sports, talk and news radio all over the world, RadioIn helps users find the radio shows and stations that they really want to listen to. You can browse stations by category, such as talk, sports, musical genre, location or language. You can also use the search bar at the top of the screen to enter your desired stations custom stream URL or search for your favorite shows and figure out what stations broadcast them.
RadioIn can also utilize GPS and WiFi technology to find local radio stations in your current area. Listing both AM and FM stations, RadioIn does a fantastic job of picking up on an enormous selection of local stations. However, users can search through stations from every continent of the world, including a Folk station from Antarctica!
With an intuitive interface, using RadioIn is exceptionally east to use. When you find a station, category or show you enjoy, simply tap the book icon in the top right corner of the screen to bookmark it and save the station for quick reference later. At the bottom of the screen are three tabs. To the left, users will find the Bookmark tab, where they can go to access all the stations they have saved as favorites. In the middle lies the Browse tab, which allows you to peruse RadioIn’s extensive directory. To the right is the Account tab, for those who previously created a RadioTime account and wish to access their presets.
When listening to stations, RadioIn will display the current song’s name, the show or station’s logo and album art when such information is available. Users also have the added convenience of being able to buy currently playing song in the iTunes music store, as well as auto-reconnect if the signal is lost.
However, what stands out the most amongst RadioIn’s many abundant features is the ability to pause and rewind live radio, much like your television’s DVR. Users can pause for up to 30 minutes, as well as rewind and fast forward within the last 30 minutes of their current listening period. If a station provides the song information, users can also skip back and forth right to the beginning of those songs recently played.

Sweet! I have this app, and I absolutely love it. I love to be able to get just about any sports game I could want to listen to as well as all the Talk Radio you could shake a stick at. Very well-laid out. Never crashes. Simple and fast. Couldn’t be better. So glad to see them review a good app that I use.

I agree it’s a great radio app but it does seem to drain my iphone battery very quickly. Anyone else notice this?

This has to be one of the best radio Apps, if not THE best of the lot.
Interface is far superior to others and the ability to record and pause makes it the Bees Knees

You can even copy the recorded songs to your PC! You’ll need a jailbroken device (in my case: blackra1n for Ipod Touch 3rd gen – 3.1.2), Cydia, SBSettings, OpenSSH & WinSCP. Once you have located the recorded sessions on your device (using App Folders functionality of SBsettings – e.g. /private/var/mobile/Applications//Documents/) use WinSCP to copy the files to your hard drive (hd). On your hd just rename the extension of the large copied files to *.mp3 (as the recorded files are basically mp3 files). There you go… individual songs can now be played on your computer!

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if accessing music through this application uses up your data useage? I used it two evenings in a row and got a warning from my mobile provider that I had used 80% of my data allowance.
