Ghost Radar: Proves We Are Not Alone

Price: $0.99    Score: 9/10    By Rachel Hull Ghost Radar

Do you believe in Ghosts? Maybe you should.  Now with the Ghost Radar application, seeing is believing.

With living in an older home, I always wondered if we had “visitors”. So when given the chance to review this application, I couldn’t wait. One of the best features that Spud Pickles developed in Ghost Radar, is that it lets you take your search for answers as superficially or as scientifically as you wish. I enjoyed changing the app settings to see the varied types of data being recorded and analyzed.

To create its readings, Ghost Radar uses the iPhone/iTouch sensors to measure the “quantum fluctuations” surrounding you. The application will interpret this readout as blips on your screen, but also in numeric, text, graphical, and audio ways as well. With that in mind, the best tool for deciphering the readings are within its Frequently Asked Questions. The main website also does a great job to support and outline the different components available in this application as well.

With any investigation of the paranormal, the experience is on a personal basis. The best readings I received were when I left Ghost Radar on for awhile. Don’t fret about losing an eerie occurrence either. All read-outs can be emailed to you (or others) for posterity. Ghost Radar’s features also include the ability to turn the screen to black for a dark pursuit or bright white should you need a flashlight. And trust me, there isn’t anything more comforting than a bright light when you hear those “ghosts” in a dark room at night.

The biggest question here is obviously if I think it actually works. And yes, I certainly do. I was with every other skeptic out there but this application has done some unexplainable things. I have asked questions, and was answered promptly by it. It never mentioned names to me except for when I’ve asked. Another time, Ghost Radar was on and really active; words and readings going off the charts – but I was busy. I silenced the volume, and as I glanced back down it promptly read “ignore”. It went on to display the words “Native” and “Indian” as well as “food”, and “grain”. It was describing a bundle of Indian Corn visible through the windows of my front door. Additionally, I would feel a cool breeze, see my thermostat drop multiple degrees and have this app read “atmosphere”. I never experienced these room changes before using Ghost Radar.

Whether just for fun or during a paranormal quest, I think you’d really enjoy this. I’ve read the comments on iTunes, but would love to know how you’ve used this application. Remember to keep an open mind, and you may just get what you ask for.

Ghost Radar requires the iPhone OS 3.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch.

I completely concur with your review! This is a fun, freaky little app that will be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates the mysteries that surround us. If you were the type of kid who thought gadgets (x-ray specs, etc.) and The Goonies/Ghostbusters were cool – this is your app.

I’m fascinated with the paranormal, but I like to think of myself as an “open-minded skeptic”. I can’t say I’ve rec’d a direct, spoken response from Ghost Radar, but it’s given me the creeps a few times (especially the first night using it)!

There are a ton of practical apps out there, but I really think this one embodies the sense of wonder and possibility through the iPhone. In fact, out of all my apps, this one garners the most interest and questions from people.

I’ll end by saying this app still manages to surprise and puzzle me. And after a few months, how many apps can you say that about?!

    “It has magic in it.”

I just downloaded this the other day… The first word it said when I turned it on was “police”… Guess who came knocking on my door (and for a stupid reason too) the next morning? The police. I have it on now and it seems like the blips on the radar go away every time I glance at my phone. So I asked (mostly talking to myself) “Why do you disappear every time I look?” And the answer was… “FLOATING”!!! Which creeped me the hell out of course. I definitely belong to the skeptic community but I just cannot explain what is going on with this thing… And I also have experienced cold spots while it’s been turned on. I was searching to see if anyone else had experienced this while using it when I found your review.

So far I am truly amazed with this app. It has spoken 5 names to me and all of them are closely related to me. It mentioned my Land Lord’s name and then immediately said my apt number after that. I was mentioning to my wife about what’s for dinner and then it said like 10 seconds later “hungry” “adult”. That made me raise and eye brow. I have only had this app for like 2 hours now and I want to exercise my home, LOL! 5 stars.

i was skeptical too, but its only 1$ so im like wthell. the 1st word was pride, then theory. i got spooked n turned it off. a few mins later i turned it back on, and a yellow flash was at the corner floating, like it was thinking of approaching.. the reading said “lets”. i was too scared to see the rest! so i turned it off again. I got hungry n made homemade salsa. Well, i sat down to eat, and got curious. so i turned it on again. two red flashes came on immediately. one went away after a couple seconds. the second one stayed, and guess what message i got? “eaten” WOW. i got so creeped out, i turned it off again. i got the chills(goosebumps) and said in my head, “man that gave me the chills” Immediately, and im talking about not even a second later, the guest comedian on the george lopez show said “I got the chills”. I was like wat the hell! i think this things works. im scared of it tho, i almost feel like i might be opening a door that i shouldnt be opening…

I downloaded this a while ago and have listened with interest when it comes out with a few – possibly random – words. The first day I purchased it, I had it on and placed my iphone on my table next to my laptop; within seconds, it said “office”…

The office thing may or not have been relevant but I was showing my sister the App this evening and within seconds of turning it on, a red blobby dot thing appeared on the radar and the word “key” was said. The unusual thing about that I was holding the phone in my right hand, and hanging from my little finger, was my car key.

This impressed my sister no end and she now wants to go to a haunted house to see what else can be picked up…

I work on a military base and brought this to work with me today.

    It said Army.

I downloaded this app while waiting for my fiance to finish with her dentist appointment. She came out to the car and as we were leaving the first thing it said was “science,” then “weigh,” then “addition.” We were just in a research center (this is in Baltimore), and that would make sense to have those words together. While sitting in traffic I had this hooked up to my car stereo. Within minutes it said the following words: “Struck,” “condition,” “balance,” “dad.” We don’t know what this meant, but seconds later we got the words “that’s,” “deep.” This thing would literally say words at the same time as my fiance, including “wonder” and a few minutes later “floor.” Down the street it said “home,” “play.” There must have been a lot going on in that area of town! We have only had a few other words spoken since earlier that day.

My fiance has this on her phone. Since our engagement she calls me “husband” from time to time. Over the weekend we played around with it and one word used was “gas”. When she got to work today there was no heat in the building and the office smelled of gas (propane). She had it on at work then to see if anything popped up. I then texted her. The second after the text notification popped up on her phone the word “husband” displayed on the ghost app screen. It really freaked her out.
