Getting your message or invitation out to people on the web can be rather mundane.  There’s the usual mass email to everyone in your address book, and if that doesn’t work, you could go the Facebook event route.  But with so many typical ways to spread the news, much of what you want known goes unseen.  So how can one creatively attract attention?

With SocialFlyr by StartupArtist, users can create digital flyers, known as flyrs, quickly and on-the-go to send invitations and messages via Twitter, Facebook or email. With a simple, self-explanatory interface, users can design flyrs to use as promotional material, advertisements, posters or announcements to share with anyone and everyone, for fun or for business.

SocialFlyr’s home screen is easy to navigate with only three buttons to use: Create Flyr, View Flyrs, and Preferences.  The ‘Preferences’ button allows users to login and link SocialFlyr with their Facebook and Twitter accounts.  ‘View Flyrs’ allows users to peruse their previously made flyrs, as well as distribute or delete them.

‘Create Flyr’ allows users to begin creating their own digital flyr.  With 65 templates to choose from, including solid colors just added in the latest update, users can choose from beautifully designed layouts, photos of beach scenes, sporting events, the NYC skyline, a theatre stage and so much more.  With an array of colors and textures, there is sure to be something that appeals to every person, business or industry. Users can also click on ‘My Images’ to use their own photo as the template for their flyr.

Once you have chosen your desired template, tap the upper right hand button marked ‘text’ to enter what you’d like your flyr to say.  The next step will allow you to choose the writing style, letting you alter the font, color and size of your text.  If you would like to add your own photo to the face of your flyr, the next step allows you to choose the width and height of the photo you wish to insert.  Upon completion, you can then save for later distribution or save and distribute immediately using Twitter, Facebook or email.

StartupArtist also offers a free version of SocialFlyr.  However, for only $.99, users can experience an ad-free interface as well as customizable Flyr tweets and the ability to add and resize photos on the face of their flyrs.  Users can even follow and contact StartupArtist on Twitter (@SocialFlyr) as they are open to suggestions and hearing what the consumer wants from their app.  And with the promise of more features on the way, SocialFlyr is sure to help you get the word out and get noticed.
